講義内容
In 2015, my course was concerned with the history of the Cold War and Post-Cold War era. The study materials were documentary films and essays by political scientists and historians. In this year's course we will examine how artists responded to this historical period in works of fiction. We will cover a range of genres: fantasy, science fiction, satire and realistic fiction, all of which had an impact on popular attitudes about official policy. Each week one work of fiction will be discussed, leaving students free to study them in more detail before or after the lesson.
