講義内容
The Rugby World Cup will be held in Japan in autumn 2019, and will be closely followed by the 2020 Olympic Games. International attention is focusing on Japan, and Japanese people too are taking stock of their country, and reflecting on how Japan will be viewed by visitors from other countries.
This course offers a selection of books, art, music and films which project diverse images of Japan, from the 19th century up until the present. Considering each of these images of Japan will give us many opportunities for lively discussion.
